Recipe to make the bread in ten easy steps
Method
Step 1. First, put your yeast in the bowl, to activate the yeast you need to put the warm Water in.
Step 2. If the yeast doesn’t froth up start all over again
Ten minutes later…
Remember if the bowl does not have a scummy foam on the top you have to start all over again
Step 3. Put the salt in your bowl then put two cups of flour ( half of the flour ) in it.
Step 4. Give it a good stir then add one cup of flour and stir it again, then add another cup of flour in, and stir, add the last cup of flour in, then stir really well.
You can get your hands in there, remember they need to be clean.
Step 5. Push down on the mixture when it is drier and knead it a bit. Pick it up and knead it in the air to get air into it too. Bring it over the bowl and give it a test to see if it holds together (hold it in mid air by the top) if half of it drops in the bowl, knead it a bit more till it seems a bit more stiff.
Step 6. Lay it down on the bench and get rid of the leftover flour in the bowl ( or get another bowl if you are ok with more dishes ) then add a bit of cooking oil in.
Step 7. Put the ball in the bowl and flip it over so both sides get oil on them. Then put the damp towel over it and let
it stay like that for an hour .
Step 8. When you come back lift the towel off, the ball should BE bigger otherwise you need to start again. After that, you literally punch it down then pick it up and mess with it a bit.
Step 9. Put a little bit of oil in your bread pan rub it around then put the ball in it, the ball should just fill the pan. Leave it for an hour and put the damp towel on.
An hour later...
Step 10!! Almost done lift the towel off again should have risen quite a bit, now it is ready to go in the oven. Set the oven to 400c let it heat up and then leave the bread in there for 30m or until it looks nice and brown. When bread comes out it should have a nice brown tan (though if it is like a brick start again)now you can cut it up and...
ENJOY!!!
